A Bit About Me

Jessica Kops

Clinical hypnotherapist, EMDR practitioner and counsellor - specialising in maternal mental health

Hi, I’m Jessica - mum of three, therapist and the creator of The Mother Method.

For over a decade I’ve been supporting women through matrescence - helping them ease anxiety, calm overwhelm and feel more at peace in their motherhood identity. Along the way, I developed practices and tools for my clients designed to fit into life with little to no hands free time and enable the transition into motherhood feel lighter and more manageable.

When my third child was born, I had the opportunity to use those very practices myself. Compared to my previous postnatal periods, that included extreme anxiety and depression, this time my transition felt calmer, more at ease and more in control. Instead of pushing against the shifts, I eased into them. The difference was profound. Not only did I see how powerful these methods were for the women I worked with, but I felt the gift of them in my own journey too. That experience became the foundation of The Mother Method.

I’ve worked in therapeutic services for over a decade, specialising in maternal mental health, working with new mothers as they navigate their transition. Along the way, I founded the charity Cocoon Family Support, partnered with the NHS and developed services that continue to support families across London. My expertise has led me to sit on national advisory panels (including NCT, Best Beginnings and the Royal Colleges of GPs and Midwives), share insights on TV and radio (including Victoria Derbyshire, This Morning and BBC Radio London) and even meet the Duchess of Cambridge to discuss maternal mental health.

But at the heart of it all, my passion is simple: helping mothers feel calmer, more confident and more connected to themselves as they grow into their new identity. Whether it’s easing anxiety, finding clarity, or embracing your role as a mother with peace and confidence, my work is about walking alongside you as you rediscover your strength.
